Try out our Canadian Government unit with this ONE DAY SAMPLE!
Canadian Government takes a difficult and complicated topic and breaks it down into something more digestible. With French word highlights, art, vocabulary, and Bible pages, it is diverse and broad-reaching. Your unit project for pre-reader students is to make a mini book of Canadian symbols. Older students are building their own country! With fun prompts such as choosing a country name, mapping out the geography, coming up with a coat of arms, deciding how the government will work, and more! They will even hold their own mock election and debate!
Other important topics are things such as levels of government involvement, different types of government, a focus on some of Canada's Prime Ministers (plus check out our beautiful watercolored Prime Minister flashcards!), exports and trade, and more!
