Unit 6 of our second year cycle is all about Transportation! We have found the largest, the loudest, the meanest, the baddest, the most expensive, the fastest, and the strangest transportation in the world and put it together in one fascinating unit! This unit includes (as always) amazing illustrations and daily life skills including things like learning how to test your tire pressure or fill up with air, etc. They will be learning about the difference between gasoline and diesel, hydraulics vs. pneumatics, surface area, the parts of a circuit, and so much more! History is tied in, as they learn about transportation of the past and some incredible stories. Social studies tie-ins include relevant events current to our world such as the impact of something like a world-wide pandemic on tourism or airlines. We have amazing art lessons with step-by-step drawings and even a watercolor lesson!
Our writing project of this month is a focus on adjectives, descriptions, and the parts of a story. We have a daily page tying in how stories can transport your readers in their minds. Grammar and seatwork pages are both at the front of the book, offering daily practice on grammar, spelling lists, and copywork that go along with their recitation passage for the unit. They will finish off the unit with a story of their own, using everything they have learned about conflicts and resolution, the parts of a story, and adjectives and descriptions to make a vehicle to a new world of imagination!
Spoiler alert! In our lesson about treaties, students have a template in the back for a technology agreement they can use as inspiration for their own treaty or agreement!
This unit is not just for the boys in your family. We have put GREAT effort into making it fascinating to everyone in the whole family, with rich discussions, fun experiments, and a heavy tie in of art and Language Arts.

This listing is for the printed, hard copy, shipped-to-you Student Notebook in the level of your choice. It does not include the Teacher's Guide (which is required to do the lessons/teaching).

All of our print books are printed on 32 lb. smooth Xerox paper (80lb text). The Student Notebooks are bound on the top (for ease of writing) with plastic coil binding and books are shipped usually within a few business days.
How does it work?
Each of our full units incorporates all your subjects (but math) for all levels from early reader through high school.
There are 20 individual lessons, designed to be done 4 days a week for 5 weeks or 5 days a week for 4 weeks. The lessons include grammar, Bible, Writing, Spelling, Geography, Social Studies, History, Art, and Science. Don't forget to grab your teacher's guide!
