Our sixth unit of year 1 is another connecting continents book! Africa is an incredible unit full of diversity, missionary stories, food, clothing, culture, geography, features, lifestyle, and of course animals! Come experience Africa like you never have before (and don't miss the recipe book for this unit too!).
One of the most unique features of this unit is the project, where we have students create a travel journal. Younger students have cutouts in the appendix that they can paste to make a collage. Freewrites, journaling, and letter writing are the main LA focuses for writing for this unit. You can even send your letters to the Spooner's at the Gather 'Round headquarters!
Hands on activities, prompts to make a diorama of the African savannah, and grammar pages focusing on oral narration, sentence structure, summation, and more!

How does it work?
Each of our full units incorporates all your subjects (but math) for all levels from early reader through high school. There are 20 individual lessons, designed to be done 4 days a week for 5 weeks or 5 days a week for 4 weeks. The lessons include grammar, Bible, Writing, Spelling, Geography, Social Studies, History, Art, and Science.
Upon purchase, you will get an email that includes your links to your digital downloads. We recommend downloading them and saving them to your computer, then printing them out (or casting them to your TV).
