If you ordered during our Back to School sale, you might be wondering about updates. We have been getting a lot of emails on this and so wanted to create a dedicated update page that you can come to to reference where we are at. Let's start with some context:
We started advertising this sale in early April (see the original email here) along with our price change. And for the last four months we have worked to set realistic expectations so that there would be no surprises or disappointments with your orders. We print to order with four large printing presses, which all break down periodically and need to be regularly serviced and managed. We have a full time tech company who is dedicated to servicing these machines but even so, we are limited on what they can print each day. We also print the daily orders before sale orders to be fair to new customers who are paying full price and didn't sign up for the delays. For all our sale orders, we clearly advertised that print would be delayed and encouraged you to buy a unit before the sale or to buy a digital unit to hold you over if you were looking for a September start as orders can take 1-2 months depending on the size of the sale.
We received a large number of print orders and some of them are so large they can take up to half a day just for a single order on our machines. We have a team in Canada (my sister-in-law, mother, our shipping manager, and some who are even camping out nearby to help) who are working literally round the clock to do what we can to get these out. That being said, we know that updates help us planners plan, so we are going to commit to update this page each business day with the order number that is next in line. Read on to find out how that will help!

What does this mean? This order number is currently in production, meaning it should ship out in the next few business days. Depending on how many daily orders we have, we can get anywhere from 50-100 orders out a day and the orders ascend. This number includes digital orders, so it may appear that there are more orders ahead of you than there actually are. Digital orders do make up the bulk of our orders, so keep that in mind. We are also simultaneously moving through Canadian and US orders (with different invoice numbering systems) so we have shown both above, to give you an idea of how many orders we are moving.
We are working to get more printers down in the US by the end of the month and should be able to nail out any orders that are remaining so stick with us! Know that we are doing everything in our power and if you have an extraordinary circumstance, email us to let us know and we will see what we can do.
